Alicia earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1996, followed by a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary's College in 2000. She joined our team in 2001 and has continued to expand her clinical expertise through post-graduate coursework with The Gray Institute, The McKenzie Institute International, The Institute of Physical Art, and the Neuro Orthopaedic Institute, along with specialized training in TMJ and Pilates.
Alicia takes an integrative approach to physical therapy, combining muscle energy techniques, functional myofascial release, therapeutic exercise, Pilates (mat and Reformer), gait and movement assessment, core and pelvic stabilization, and neuromuscular re-education. Her treatments are rooted in Maitland-based clinical reasoning and manual therapy.
With a background in dance and as a former cheer instructor for the United Spirit Association, Alicia brings a strong foundation in body awareness and movement education to her work. She excels at helping patients of all ages and abilities reconnect with how their bodies move and function.
While Alicia enjoys treating a broad range of orthopedic conditions, she has a particular passion for working with pre- and post-natal patients. As a mother herself, she understands the unique physical challenges of pregnancy and parenting.
Outside the clinic, Alicia stays busy with her husband and two children, fully embracing family life.
